A 7 and 7 is a mixed alcoholic drink containing Seagram's Seven Crown Blended Whisky and 7-Up. It is similar to the popular rum and Coke. The name may be used in some circles to generically refer to any drink consisting of whisky mixed with a lemon-lime soft drink.
Mixture
Although proportions will change with personal preference, the following is a typical recipe for a 7 and 7:
- Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
- Add 3 imperial fluid ounces (85 mL) Seagram's Seven Crown Whisky.
- Add 9 imperial fluid ounces (260 mL) 7 Up.
- Garnish with lemon wedge (optional).
